Dua Lipa was born on 22nd August, 1995 in London the United Kingdom. After working as a fashion model her decision was to join Warner Bros Records and release her debut album "Dua Lipa" in the year 2017. The album climbed up to the third position on the U.K. Chart for Albums. There were eight songs released, among them Be The Only I.D.G.A.F. and New Rules (UK number one). The album also climbed at the number 6 spot in the United States. Lipa was awarded the Brit Awards for British female solo artist as well as British breakthrough act in 2018. Dua Lipa was born the 22nd of August, 1995, in London in the UK to Kosovo Albanian Anesa Rexha, and Dukagjin Lipa. Dua Lipa is Bosnian origin through her mother's grandmother. It is possible to trace her family's roots back to Peja the city of Kosovo. Lipa's grandfathers were both historians. She has a brother Gjin Lipa as well as a sister Rina. Lipa was musically influenced by her father who was the guitar player and lead singer of Oda, the Kosovan rock band Oda.
